The Nordic Financial News API covers business news, company news, regulatory filings, and exchange disclosures from Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, and Iceland. Articles are available within minutes of publication and include an English headline, summary, and key points, associated companies, and a link to the original-language source article. Stories are AI-generated, English-language narratives that synthesize coverage of a developing event from multiple source articles, and include the story’s content, summary, associated companies, and source articles.

Flagship business press

National business dailies and public broadcasters, including:

Wires, press release platforms, and exchanges

Earnings releases, M&A announcements, director dealings, and regulatory notices from Nordic-listed companies flow through the wires and exchanges below. Company-authored announcements arrive through PR platforms. Each group maps to a source_type value you can filter on.

Wire services

Newswires and regulatory-disclosure distributors, carrying fast, market-relevant releases and telegram news. Filter with source_type=wire_service. Cision, GlobeNewswire, MFN, BeQuoted.

Press release platforms

Company-authored promotional content distributed through PR platforms. Filter with source_type=press_release. Via TT, Mynewsdesk.

Stock exchanges

Listed-company disclosures taken straight from exchange newsfeeds, the tightest-latency tier the API carries. Reach for it when you want listed companies’ own disclosures, not the news coverage that follows. Filter with source_type=stock_exchange. Nasdaq Stockholm, Nasdaq Copenhagen, Nasdaq Helsinki, Nasdaq Iceland, Euronext Oslo Børs, Nordic Growth Market, Spotlight Stock Market.

Central banks and regulators

Rate decisions, supervisory rulings, licensing, and fines, direct from the bodies that shape Nordic finance.

Beyond the headlines

A further 30+ specialist sources are covered but not individually listed here. They fall into three groups:
  • Government ministries and agencies that flag regulatory shifts before the wires catch them.
  • Specialist trade and investor publications covering niche sectors that national dailies skip.
  • Equity research providers publishing analyst notes on Nordic-listed companies.

Filter by source via the API

By individual source

Use GET /api/v1/sources to discover source IDs, then pass a comma-separated list to the sources parameter on GET /api/v1/articles or GET /api/v1/stories. You can pass up to 25 source IDs per request.

By source type

To select every source of a given kind without naming them, pass source_type to GET /api/v1/articles. It is comma-separated and accepts news_publication, wire_service, press_release, government, trade_publication, blog, stock_exchange, and research.
Every source returned by GET /api/v1/sources carries its own source_type, so you can check where a source falls before you filter on it. This parameter applies to articles only, not to stories.
