The Nordic Financial News API covers business news, company news, regulatory filings, and exchange disclosures from Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, and Iceland.
Articles are available within minutes of publication and include an English headline, summary, and key points, plus associated companies and a link to the original-language article. Articles are summaries, not full translations. Use article_url to read the full piece.
Events group related coverage of one development, such as an earnings report, an acquisition, or a CEO change, into a single event with the source articles attached. Each event carries its type, significance, and associated companies.
Stories are longer, AI-generated, English-language narratives for larger developments, built from the same sources. They include the story’s content, summary, associated companies, and source articles.

Flagship business press
National business dailies and public broadcasters. The dailies cover earnings, deals, and markets in each capital. The broadcasters’ business desks cover policy, labor, and the wider economy.
Nordic-listed companies publish earnings releases, M&A announcements, director dealings, and regulatory notices through wire services and exchanges, and other company news through press release platforms.
Wire services
Newswires and regulatory-disclosure distributors that Nordic-listed companies use for regulated announcements and investor news.
Company newsrooms and press release distributors. They carry company news that falls outside formal disclosure rules.
Stock exchanges
Disclosures from the newsfeeds of the main Nordic exchanges and their growth markets. This is the tightest-latency tier the API carries: use it for companies’ own disclosures rather than the coverage that follows.
Central banks and regulators
The API covers rate decisions, financial stability reports, and monetary policy statements from all five Nordic central banks. It also covers supervisory rulings, licensing decisions, sanctions, and fines from the national financial regulators.
Specialist sources
The API also covers 40+ specialist sources:
- Ministries and agencies: ministries, statistics offices, and tax and competition authorities across all five countries.
- Investor publications: stock picks, small caps, and retail-investor coverage from the local market press.
- Equity research providers: independent and bank-affiliated analyst notes on Nordic-listed companies.
- Startup and tech press: venture rounds, scale-ups, and exits.
- Industry trade publications: construction, real estate, and retail trade press.
- Seafood and aquaculture: Norwegian trade press on salmon farming, covering biomass, prices, licenses, and tax.

Filter by source via the API
By individual source
Use GET /api/v1/sources to discover source IDs, then pass a comma-separated list to the sources parameter on GET /api/v1/articles or GET /api/v1/stories. You can pass up to 25 source IDs per request.
By source type
To select every source of a given kind without naming them, pass source_type to GET /api/v1/articles. It is comma-separated and accepts news_publication, wire_service, press_release, government, trade_publication, blog, stock_exchange, and research.
Every source returned by GET /api/v1/sources carries its own source_type, so you can check where a source falls before you filter on it. This parameter applies to articles only, not to stories. Last modified on September 30, 2026
